Live Your Life, Not Theirs: Let Go of Spying and Control

Love vs Rules

Dear human being, please stop wasting your precious time spying on others and trying to control their lives. True love and respect cannot be forced—they must come naturally. Focus on your own growth, engage in meaningful work, and let go of the toxic habit of prying into others' affairs. Life is short—live it wisely.

The worst job in this world is being a spy—constantly invading others' lives instead of focusing on your own. Sometimes, spies have no real family, no one they truly love, and their sole purpose seems to be disrupting others' lives. They go to bed thinking about others, wake up eager to pry into personal matters, and spend their days obsessed with controlling people. But why? Don’t they have their own work, responsibilities, or personal interests to keep themselves occupied?

Life is not about controlling others. Living under the same roof with someone does not mean you live in their heart. Human psychology is complex; love and respect cannot be forced. If a parent conditions their love on obedience, the child will eventually resent them. A child who grows up hearing only commands will, once independent, emotionally distance themselves. This is a natural response—people reflect what they experience.

Life is short, with an average span of around 76 years. Every moment is precious. Why waste valuable time snooping on others—checking what a spouse is doing, reading private messages, or secretly tracking someone’s activities? These behaviors reveal a poor character. If you have no goals, no purpose, and no meaningful work, you’ll find yourself trapped in this cycle of spying and interfering.

We are born alone, and we will leave this world alone. Only our deeds—good or bad—will accompany us. Rules and discipline are necessary, but the heart follows no laws. If a parent tries to enforce love through financial control or emotional blackmail, that love will disappear instantly.

Instead of being consumed by spying and harming others, focus on something meaningful. Engage in productive work, enrich your own life, and let go of the toxic habit of prying into others' affairs.
